Disney buys Pixar. Steve Jobs will rule the world

Well, well, well, the day has finally arrived. Disney has just bought Pixar for $7, say it with me now, B-B-Billion dollars. This is pretty exciting stuff, I guess. These two have been working together for years, and in the last couple started to butt heads over distribution rights. Not a big deal, but the real issue has been Disney’s declining influence over the animated feature market. Most of their stuff for the last five years has gone straight to video/DVD. A big reason for this is the rise of Pixar and the 3D animation mastery they wield.
Disney may have bought Pixar, but its Pixar that is saving Disney. Oh and Steve Jobs who will own a majority share of the Disney. What’s next Stevie, you going to buy the world, package it in small shinny plastic objects and sell it to us, oh and make us love it?
Disney + Pixar = Pixney?
Disney + Pixar = Disnar?
Disney + Pixar = PixDis?
The list could go on. In any case, I’m pretty sure this was a good move on both sides of this deal. And it was pretty inevitable. Now we get to sit back and see what evolves, lets hope the movies still kick ass.
